The Sejoy BS-102 test strip is used in conjunction with the Sejoy BG-203 glucose meter to quantitatively measure blood sugar with fresh capillary whole blood for self-test. Blood sugar concentration in venous blood measured by a health care provider. Fresh whole capillary blood collected from fingertip. The system is intended for extra-donor diagnostic use at home, or by medical professionals in a clinical setting, as an adjunct to monitoring the effectiveness of diabetes control. The system is not used for diabetes diagnosis, screening or newborn testing. Strips measure glucose by an amperometric technique using a glucose oxidase reaction. When whole blood or a control solution is sucked into the tip of the strip, the glucose in the sample reacts with the chemical and creates an electric current. The meter measures the selective current and calculates the amount of glucose. The glucose result is shown as the calculated plasma value.
