When landscape photography doesn’t go to plan… you need a backup.
I headed out early to Piha Beach on Auckland’s wild west coast, hoping to capture Lion Rock in beautiful dawn light and sunrise conditions—but the weather had other ideas. No light, no drama, and very little inspiration.
So instead of packing it in, I switched to Plan B.
In this video, I compare standard colour photography with infrared photography to show just how dramatically your images can change—even in flat, uninspiring conditions.
