This film is dedicated to the heroes of World War II, both the men and women who served and their loyal canine friends.
During the course of the Great Patriotic War 2 191 Officers, 4 391 Sergeants, 15 916 Dog Trainers and 33 071 Dogs were trained and sent to the battlefield.
Working together they helped to destroy 300 tanks, 6 000 enemy soldiers and officers and captured more than 2 000 enemy troops.
The communication dogs delivered more than 20 000 combat reports and vital communication messages.
They found 4 million land mines and rescued 680 000 seriously wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
