Art Therapy Mandalas (Part 2)
Hi guys, here is Part 2 of the videos with Art Therapy Mandalas that I recorded in 2021 while visiting Moscow. I found my old mandalas from 2008-09 painted when I was taking a course on art therapy. (Time stamps are below)
Have you ever tried painting or drawing in a circle, creating an art therapy mandala spontaneously expressing what you feel at the moment? Give it a try! It is not about sacred geometry or any symmetrical and symbolic elements. It does not have to be pretty, interesting, fascinating, harmonious...
The point of art therapy mandalas is to connect to your subconscious and let yourself go.
It is better not to get into drawing/ painting some common patterns like flowers, leaves, objects from life, unless that's exactly how you feel, if you really need to include them.
Allow your hand to draw or paint without controlling it consciously.
