WoW [1.12.1]: Borderless Windowed Mode Fix - Guide
This should fix the Windowed Mode issue in Vanilla WoW (1.12.1 clients) usually you will get a black screen after selecting the Windowed Mode option. You can also use this method for newer expansions. This helped me to get rid of the problem, so i hope it will help you too!
