AI is being met with a great deal of fear and hostility, but I think that's a mistake. It's here to stay, and it can either end a person's career, or take it to the next level. It is a tool for creativity and inspiration.
Because I am aphantasiaic (I can’t see images in my mind) I draw and sketch things to help me visualize a scene or a setting, or a character. Since I "see" in words, I can use artificial intelligence tools to describe what I imagine, and it renders the images for me.
This is an example of what AI can do for us as writers. All the written words are my own, no AI assist there, nor would I want it. I've spent years developing my voice and style, which AI would only dilute.
