The Sun Stone, known to many as the Aztec Calendar, is much more than a simple stone disk. Discovered in 1790 and embedded in Mexico City's Cathedral until the 20th century, this imposing piece of Nahuatl cosmogony has witnessed the transition between the Indigenous world and New Spain.
