Brazilian spiritual leader Divaldo Franco revealed in a lecture that his spiritual mentors warned him about a possible death due to bladder cancer. He was diagnosed with the disease last November. “I went to pray and the mentors told me it was a serious problem and that I should prepare myself mentally for a possible passing. So I prepared myself mentally. I started with the scale of detachment. What binds the spirit is attachment to things, to people,” the medium recounted during a lecture last week.
He also said that one night, while he was very weak in the hospital, he was warned by the spirit of Joanna de Ângelis that his passing would be that day. “Joanna de Ângelis appeared and told me: ‘We are in your period of detachment. Don’t worry about anything material and simply wait for the angel’s arrival.’ I prepared myself and waited expectantly. And I began to wait, and I saw a green light, deeper. When I was doing physiotherapy, I saw the green. It was the vibrations of our brothers, their prayers, their good thoughts, their requests to God for the best to be done. That night, I became very weak to the point of not being able to stand. Then, that night, Joanna de Ângelis told me: ‘It was supposed to be from today to tomorrow, but we decided to give you a moratorium, more time for service.’ For me, at that moment, it was indifferent whether I stayed or departed for the spiritual family,” the medium detailed, highlighting that he felt the prayers intended for him after the illness was publicized by the press.
After the difficult night, Divaldo improved and was discharged. Upon arriving home, he said he continued to be enveloped by the “green light,” but ended up feeling unwell again. “When I returned, that green light enveloped me strongly. At that moment, I felt life begin again. The interest in our home, the projects we have started, the school we will inaugurate now, and the other projects, and then, at that moment, I felt a strange emotion and said: I have to go back to the hospital. A new virus and a fungus appeared in my body.”
