Song For Sam was inspired by and is dedicated to a friend, Sam Baker, who died by suicide last year. It's a song about wishing you could go back in time if you knew that help was needed, about how difficult it is for us all to address mental health, and about hoping that if someone is hurting they know that there's always someone that cares about them. It's for Sam and for anyone else that has struggled in that way, and it's for anyone who has lost someone to suicide.
If you or someone you know is ever experiencing an emergency or crisis, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

Lyrics:
The stars never shone so bright
You tried to find your way, always torn between the dark and light
Still, til the sun goes down
If you fall and I’m not there will you even make a sound
Everyday, everyday
Take me back to a place I've never been before
Take me back to the room that he was in so I can pound my fists on that unlocked door
Take me back to that cold, dark night
Take me back so I can save his life
Held by the curtain’s fall
You were waiting in the wings, but you never heard the call
Dance, til the morning breaks
We spin around in circles, try to take the edge off our mistakes
The darkest of stars will flicker and fade
But never ever fade away
