This craft is fast to set up, simple to make and so easy to clean up. If you need a craft to take with you when you visit the grandkids or for a kid’s birthday party this is just the ticket.
Most craft supply stores have large bags of buttons that are perfect for this project. I love the packs with bright colors and a variety of shapes and sizes.
Allow the kids to draw a design on their canvas in pencil. It should be a large and fairly simple design, so it is easy to fill in the space with the buttons. The butterfly design worked really well for example.
Use craft glue (like Elmer’s) to attach the buttons to the canvas. Cover the area inside the drawing as much as possible to add color and interest. The buttons can even be layered somewhat if desired.
That’s it! Just let the glue dry and it is ready to display. I told you it was easy!
