The state touring roster is the artist side entry point to the grant world from state arts agencies. We’ll explain how artists go about getting on this roster and also how organizations go about getting the grants to hire the artists.
About the panel:
NICK CARSWELL is a musician, organizer and cultural producer. Nick has been performing professionally for 25 years, in his native Ireland and across the US Midwest, where he has lived since 2011. His main creative output is as songwriter and frontman for the alt-rock 5 piece, Carswell & Hope and he is a Creative Industries Specialist for the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission.
CHRISTINE BIAL is the Director of Arts and Humanities Grant Programs for Mid-America Arts Alliance. She brings to her work nearly 25 years of state arts agency and non-profit arts experience as a grant program manager and theatrical production stage manager while being the mother of two daughters.
