Reviving Nepal Bhasa: How to do Mha Puja
Team Reviving Nepal Bhasa presents Bajracharya-style Mha Puja by Mr. Prajwal R. Vajracharya. Mr. Vajracharya is both a priest and Charya Nritya dancer at Nritya Mandala Mahavihara in Portland, OR (dancemandal.com). Mha Puja means 'worship of self' in Nepal Bhasa and it is celebrated during New Year in the Nepal Sambat calenday. In this video, we showcase a simplified way of celebrating this ancient tradition but there are other versions which can be as complex with many more elements such as having 12 different fruits during the fruit offering.
