Change Requests - Member & Admin
We are thrilled to announce an upcoming enhancement to our Simply Benefits platform that will streamline the process for making changes, ensuring faster and more efficient service.
Starting July 22nd, 2024, Simply Benefits will introduce a new feature that simplifies the process for requesting changes. Members can now directly request changes to their details without needing the traditional paper Group Change Form. Additionally, admins can review member requested changes and also request changes on behalf of the member. This update aims to reduce paperwork, improve turnaround times, and enhance overall user experience.
Types of Changes Members and Admins Can Request:
Updates to member details (e.g., name, email, date of birth)
Adding, editing, or removing dependents, beneficiaries, and trustees
Waiving or reinstating coverage
How the Process Works:
Members can initiate change requests by updating their profile details in the Member Portal (see the types of changes above). They will also receive notifications to review change requests initiated by administrators.
Administrators can initiate change requests by editing member profile details. They will also receive notifications to review change requests initiated by employees.
Once the change request is approved by both the admin and the member, the change request will then be sent to our Simply Benefits team for final review. If approved, the change will be made live on the platform.
Why we've added this feature
Customer Feedback: Our customers have indicated that the manual change form process is neither simple nor intuitive, often necessitating extensive back and forth communication.
Enhanced Privacy: We are committed to maximizing user privacy by processing change requests within the Simply Benefits platform, thereby eliminating the need for paper forms, faxes, emails, and other less secure methods.
Employer Involvement: Employers have expressed a desire to be more engaged in the change process without facing unnecessary inconvenience.
This enhancement will empower members and admins to request changes swiftly and securely, ensuring that members' benefits are always up-to-date.
