A Macedonian Celebration in Chicago | Ilinden and European Market 2023
I was honored with capturing this wonderful event at the Macedonian Orthodox church in Willowbrook, IL, St. Kiril and Metodij. Even though it was a last-minute booking, I believe I was able to convey the feel and atmosphere at this celebration!
This is an annual event that usually takes place on August 2nd (due to the holiday ilinden; or translated into English: Elijah's day) and every year (except 2022) there is a small-business fair.
This year we had 28 small businesses promoting their services and products and we, GJD Fotography LLC, were one of them. Not only as a vendor, but also capturing this wonderful event.
Thank you to the church and the Women's committee for commissioning GJD Fotography LLC, and everyone who participated and donated their time to stop and say hello. We deeply appreciate the support and love we receive from our wonderful community!
