Hollywood Firefighters responding to Fletcher Structure fire
Hollywood units responded to the report of an abandoned house on fire. The first arriving unit was met with fire coming out of all of the windows and through the roof. A defensive operation was called for.
Later arriving units had to remove boards covering the windows. While doing this we discovered that there was a MASSIVE beehive, in the west end of the house. Bees swarmed the firefighters and our apparatus. Once the fire was knocked down, all units had to be shut down so the bees would calm down.
This was a unique situation, to say the least.
