The New ASHLEY DOWN Station Is NOW OPEN
Right this is it! This is the big one. This is the video that we've all been waiting for! Finally, after around 60 years, trains now serve Ashley Down. This station is station number 2,584 in the UK. Ashley Down is located in the north of Bristol, and is sandwiched between Stapleton Road and Filton Abbey Wood. In 1964, during the Beeching Cuts, the former station: Ashley Hill closed. However, on the 28th of September 2024, the station re-opened now has a slightly different name: Ashley Down. I don't know why the name has changed. Maybe, the people in Bristol got bored of the word "Hill" so changed it to "Down".
