The Best Father's Day Gift
Charlie Liu (10) gave me the best Father's Day gift ever this morning - his first ever music composition!
While he never took any formal or informal composition or music theory lesson and never showed interest in composition, I did wish for him to try composing in the future. What a pleasant surprise he gave me! He really kept this secret well!
I'm sure a music theorist could pick the piece apart, but for a 1st attempt, I thought he did truly great, with touching and catchy melody and enjoyable complexity. I couldn't be happier and can't ask for anything more! Hope you guys like it too.
