Star Trek: Section 31 Stars Tease Their Characters and Praise Co-Star Michelle Yeoh
Michelle Yeoh returns as Emperor Philippa Georgiou in Star Trek: Section 31, a new feature film coming to Paramount+. A spinoff of Star Trek: Discovery, the movie will premiere on Jan. 24, 2025.
Months ahead of the release of Section 31 on Paramount+, the director and some of the stars discussed the movie with CBR's Kevin Polowy at New York Comic Con. Present for the discussion were director Olatunde Osunsanmi alongside actors Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, and Robert Kazinsky. Osunsanmi spoke about the creative approach taken with Section 31, sharing how the goal was for the movie to always feel reminiscent of Star Trek while still doing something unique to the franchise. With that noted, what was most important about making the movie work was that it just needed to be "good."
