My name is Jamie Young and I want to WELCOME you to our community “AnimActing”!
I have had a 26 year career as a theatre director and professor of acting. I spent time working with students and actors on how to translate authentic human behavior into effective acting on stage. We experimented with and discovered methods, skills, and techniques that applied to everything from natural action to exaggerated characters in heightened situations.
And then a year or so ago, a friend of mine who runs a renowned animation school, asked me if I wanted to teach his students a course on acting. This YouTube channel is a result of that experience.
