We spend a lot of time in animation focusing on a character's outer-life (facial expressions, gestures, and interactions with other characters or objects), but we also need to be aware of their inner-life. What are the different types of subtext (what's below the surface)? And how can we be sure what's below the surface can bubble-up and be expressed to draw in your audience?
In this video, I will teach you how to make your character's more 3 dimensional by giving them that inner-life. You'll then learn a duplicatable formula to outwardly express your character's inner-life and engage your audience with it. Enjoy!
