Boss Atrocitus has very high damage, chaos, and power drains on successful specials. He is a very challenging boss to deal with.
My 2nd pip didn't go very well. But I'm pleased with how my 3rd pip went. It proved me wrong that he will be the last sub-boss to fall.
I am generally a FREE TO PLAY player, so I don't own powerful artifacts like beta club, sword of sin & salvation. I work with whatever that is given free.
