(+2 Years) All Furniture Items Obtained (All Items Journey) [5/24] Terraria 1.4.4
I did it. it's over. The hardest challenge I've done in my life.
In 2021 I started my first category of the "All Items Journey", furniture, and I started it by collecting every enemy banner, wich took my more than 300 hours and 1 year, after that, I thought I already did the hardest part of furniture, but I was very, VERY wrong.
The next year I spent it all on the all paintings part of the category, as well as some other easy subcategories like crafting stations & statues. The all paintings subcategory took me another 6 months because of the worst NPC in Terraria, the Traveling Merchant. Arround this time, I also started my first streams on Youtube, because I wanted to have the raw footage of ALL my journey, and when I finished all paintings, I decided to finally go and do the rest of furniture, and here is were the grind began.
I never grinded a game as much as I did in the last streams, from the organization to the patience needed to do this, it was an insane journey. To the gold critters, wich 3 years ago I would have never imagined to collect them all, to the music boxes, to the hundreds of furniture sets, to the Traveling Merchant, it was all a test of everything.
Also I wanted to add, I HATE the Traveling Merchant, by far the most annoying, time consuming, boring and awful items are sold by him. Having to wait in a bed with nothing else to do praying for him to come and also having the item you need, insane. The Traveling Merchant is the reason of why it took me 7 months to get all the paintings and also like 3 more moths for all the team platforms, and is also good to add that I basically learned everything about him by myself, because the wiki doesn't specify anything about when he comes or when he doesn't, ofc not blaming the wiki moderators, the npc is just super annoying.
