TSDZ2 0.17 OpenSource Firmware - New Features
This is a video showing some features and updates I have been working on for the Flexible OpenSource firmware for the TSDZ2. The changes are in beta and are subject to change from feedback by developers and users. The code has been developed without compromising the original code structure in any major way.
*Odometer is now possible to set to any value under a new submenu, sub menu 2, in the configuration menu 8. You set the odometer by adding 100 km with the up button and subtracting 5 km with the down button. If user has chosen imperial units the odometer will increment 60 miles with the up button and subtract 3 miles with the down button. The resolution is therefore +- 5 km/3 miles. This is done to minimize the number of clicks for user.
*Trip distance is a new variable saved in EEPROM. Working much like the odometer. User resettable.
*All menus now save last position in EEPROM. This makes it especially easy for users that frequently needed to switch and cycle through the menus after power-off to display desired functions. Only the main menu was previously saved but the sub menus were reset after a power cycle.
*Imperial and Metric units throughout the system.
*The MIL (miles) symbol is now activated and in use. Symbols MIL/MPH and KM/KMH are flashing in set up menu where you choose between imperial/metric units.
*Under configuration menu 4, submenu 0: the order is changed. The first menu item is Units. This changes whether user sees Maximum Wheel Speed displayed in either imperial/metric. Maximum Wheel Speed is the second menu item so this updated order better suits the setup process.
