My Icelandic Ewe Stimpla Needed Assistance for Her First Lambing
Stimpla my Icelandic Ewe gave birth to twin lambs this morning. After giving her more time than I felt comfortable with to allow her to try and pass the first lamb on her own, I had to intervene.
She is a bit wild, and I was afraid if I tried to assist she would run and I'd never catch her. Thankfully after a few failed attempts, it seems she realized I was there to help. The ram lamb was alive and well, and she quickly passed a ewe lamb after!
