SilencerCo Maxim 9 - Range Time Extras
Trying out my buddy's Maxim 9 from SilencerCo. I bullied him for years to buy one back in college, but he had to send it in for work 3 times. Finally seems to work, is extremely fun to shoot, but the trigger truly is as awful as you've heard. Chambered in 9mm with an Integral Suppressor, this pistol had so much potential and delivers on its promise for suppression. But the trigger is absolutely horrendous and it required 3 trips to SilencerCo to resolve issues causing frequent and bizarre malfunctions. I hope SilencerCo doesn’t shy away from the idea as a result of the Maxim 9’s commercial failure. If they design a Gen 2 with a totally new trigger and flawless reliability, it can still be the game changer that it ought to be.
