Richard Burns Rally 2023 on Linux Ubuntu 22.04
Hello everybody welcome back. I have been working on getting Richard Burns Rally working on linux on and off for the last 6 months and after a lot of trail and error I was able to get it working. I was able to do this with Bottles and Ubuntu 22.04. I'm still struggling with FFB but I hope to figure that out soon. As of now all my testing is done on a PS5 controller. I may bring the Logitech G29 into the mix soon.

The steps I used are as follows.
Install Bottles
Set Default directory
Create new bottle
Use the following settings
Components
Runner - ge-proton8-20
DXVK - dxvk-2.3
VK3D - vkd3d-2.9
LatencyFleX - Disabled
Display
Turned off Discrete Graphics - Not necessary just how im running it atm.
Performance
Defaults
Compatibility
DLL Override
Add DLL override to fix NGP Physics not working
WINDLLOVERRIDES="msvcr70=n;mscvr71=n" Native, Then Builtin.
No FBB on PS5 controller need to test Hori Apex RWA and Logitech G29
Run the installer and use it the same as windows.
Using bottles also allows for you to add RSF to Steam so you can launch from there.
