Chimbala exclusively showcases its luxury penthouse
Urban artist Chimbala opened the doors of his luxury penthouse in Santo Domingo for a tour filled with stories from his life in urban music, but above all, a glimpse into the tasteful decor and renovations of this two-level apartment, valued at nearly a million dollars, according to the performer of "El Boom," "Feliz," "Maniquí," and other hits.
Chimbala recounts his early days in Guaricano de Villa Mella, living in the barrio with a broken fan and working as a stocker in a supermarket. Today, thanks to his music career, he enjoys a collection of luxury cars, including a Honda CR-V, a Cadillac, a Mercedes-Benz driven by his wife, Chary "La Jefa" (as he affectionately calls her), as well as a McLaren and a Lamborghini Urus, all parked in a majestic penthouse in a prime location in the Dominican Republic.
Among anecdotes, he mentions working on tracks and songs in the studio with El Alfa and other artists, and recalls that El Mayor Clásico, back when he was still known as Enmanuel Reyes, tried to sell him a hat. He and El Alfa, "El Jefe," are considered the faces of the urban music movement.
Chimbala gives us a tour of his property, which he says he paid for with great effort during the construction process. This also allowed him to avoid taking out a bank loan, paying off the entire balance before delivery. When discussing the price, he said he invested around six hundred and fifty thousand dollars, and then another significant amount in remodeling and design, which could exceed one million dollars in total.
Beyond the cost of Chimbala's apartment, we could see his impeccable taste and the exquisite work of designer Cepeda, who didn't hold back and managed to capture every detail exactly as the artist wanted, from the black marble staircase in the center to his studio, which is one of his favorite spots.
We personally loved the master bedroom with its bed, which Chimbala jokingly says can't be too high so we don't have to jump in. The bathroom, with two showers, two sinks, and a bathtub offering a spectacular city view, invites you to relax and spend pleasant moments in the intimate setting of Chimbala and his family.
A private social area was the setting to culminate our tour, where Chimbala has his pool with a waterfall. Despite the rain, we enjoyed a glass of wine and finished our conversation with some profound words, further reflections on the effort and achievements of our host for this #clicvip, and a few humorous anecdotes and musical recommendations, including his top artists:
