Final Cut Pro X - Basic Introduction to the Interface
This short video helps you to navigate the FCP interface. Take the time necessary to learn your way around it, it will save you lots of time later!
Something else I simply MUST mention here, is that FCP (Apple) felt the really counter-productive need to rename things that were already perfectly good. Let me mention three items that confuse everyone starting out with Final Cut Pro X.
Applespeak 'Library' and the 'fcpbundle' file
= Project and the project file in every other NLE
Applespeak 'Event'
= the Bins you create in every other NLE (or think about it as a Folder to store and organise files in)
Applespeak 'Project'
= the Sequence or the Timeline in every other NLE
