In this video I go over the psychological aspect and effectiveness of doubling up or tripling up your punches. No, a double punch is not literal like the thumbnail!
Boxing is taught in a rhythmic way. It makes sense. In order to flow in boxing whether it's defense, offense, reaction, etc. one must be able to have a rhythm. This can work in your favor majority of the time. Once a fighter is able to find his or her opponents rhythm and patterns then they are able to land more effective combinations and set traps.
A double or triple punch as described in this video is throwing consecutive punches with the same hand/side or the exact some punch. For example, Jab-Cross-Hook-Hook would mean doubling up own your hook. Jab-cross-cross would mean doubling up your cross. I go over three combinations that utilize the double or triple up method to disrupt your opponents defensive rhythm that way you can land a more effective punch!
