Cell is the structural and functional unit of living organisms.
STRUCTURE OF CELL:
Cell consist of three parts
A. Cell Membrane
B. Cytoplasm
C. Nucleus
A .Cell Membrane:
cell membrane is also known as plasma membrane .
It is selective permeable membrane.
It consist of.
1. Lipids : lipid constitute 40% of cell membrane.
There are two types of lipids
a. Phospholipid
b. Cholesterol
2.Protein:
. Protein constitute 52% of cell membrane .
There are two types of protein.
a. Integral Protein
b. Peripheral Protein.
3. Carbohydrates:
It constitute the 1-5% of cell membrane.
Two types of carbohydrates
a. Glycoprotein
b. Glycolipid
B. Cytoplasm:
Cytoplasm is a gel like substance.
It consists of
1. Cytosol: It is a fluid
2. Cell organelle:
It contains
a. Mitochondria
b. Endoplasmic reticulum
c. Golgi Body
d. Lysosome
e. Vacuole
f . Ribosomese
g. Lysosome
C. Nucleus:
It is brain of the cell.
It consists of
a. Nuclear Membrane
b. Nucleoplasm
c. Nucleolus
