About 4:10pm NDT, August 21st, during the much-hyped solar eclipse.

Apparently only about 40% coverage of the sun this far north, so the results on the environs is underwhelming. Well, I hope my friends to the south of here are enjoying some actually noticeable effects. Cheers!

(Also it's REALLY FRICKING RARE to get a clear, sunny day here - oceanside town on the path of both Arctic and Caribbean currents that meet near offshore to make lots of fog and rain and drizzle. There've been about a dozen solar eclipses for me up here (almost all partial) and this is the SECOND in thirty-plus years that it hasn't been cloudy or overcast!)
