WRAPPING YOUR CHEYENNE HAWK PEN!
In this video, I’ll be walking you through a few different methods for wrapping your Cheyenne Hawk Pen tattoo machine. There’s no single “right” way to do it—there are countless techniques and products out there, and the best choice ultimately depends on your personal workflow, comfort, and hygiene standards.
Properly wrapping your Cheyenne Hawk Pen is crucial not only for maintaining a sterile and professional environment, but also for preserving the longevity and smooth performance of your machine. From barrier protection to minimizing cross-contamination risks, the right wrapping technique helps ensure every session is both safe and efficient—for you and your client.
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist looking to refine your setup, this video will give you some practical options and tips to help you find what works best in your tattooing routine. Let’s get started and elevate your workstation with smarter, cleaner wrapping techniques.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
Prepare Your Workspace:
Wash your hands thoroughly and put on disposable gloves.
Make sure your work area is clean and well-lit.
Unscrew the Tip:
Remove the tip from the Cheyenne Hawk Pen by unscrewing it.
Mark the alignment if needed, so you can put it back correctly later.
Slide the Clip Cord Sleeve:
Take a clip cord sleeve (usually made of plastic) and slide it over the machine and the cord.
Stop right above the O-ring (the rubber ring that seals the tip).
Reattach the Tip:
Screw the tip back onto the machine.
Pinch the clip cord sleeve to secure it in place.
Barrier Film:
Cover the entire machine (including the tip) with a piece of barrier film.
Stretch the film downward to ensure complete coverage.
Sports Wrap:
Wrap the machine with sports wrap (also known as self-adhesive bandage).
Start from the top and wrap it around the machine, making sure it’s snug but not too tight.
Cut off any excess wrap.
Insert the Needle:
Insert the tattoo needle through the tip.
Lock it in place according to your machine’s mechanism.
Final Check:
Ensure everything is secure and properly wrapped.
Double-check the alignment of the tip.
Remember that cleanliness is crucial to prevent contamination and infection
