The Iridium Extreme satellite phone is a ruggedised handset that allows for voice and data communication anywhere in the world. Like its predecessor, the Iridium 9555, it is connected to the Iridium satellite network which is how it gets its global connectivity. Unlike the 9555, however, it comes with built-in SOS functionality and location tracking so that its location can be monitored remotely from online tracking portals.
The Extreme comes with a wide range of accessories including chargers, cables, headphones, and attachments, as well as either a prepaid SIM card for pay-as-you-go minute packages or a pay-monthly SIM for a rolling monthly contract.
