Even experienced ATV riders forget about this most important ATV maintenance procedure. Probably because they are not as experienced as they think. Many never do it. and then are surprised that the engine requires major repairs. Servicing the ATV air filter is where you should start preparing the ATV for the season. The health of the engine and its main unit - the cylinder-piston group - largely depends on the cleanliness of the air filter and its ability to trap road dust. If you ride in a gentle mode, it is enough to service the air filter according to the ATV instructions - once per 1000 kilometers, and if you give the ATV a hard time - do it twice as often. Servicing the air filter does not take much time, no more than 30 minutes, and everyone can do it with their own hands.
