When visiting one of our long-term research sites, we noticed things looked a little different. After a few minutes, we realized a GIANT boulder had crashed into the stream from the cliffs above... probably fairly recently. In this video, we work out the path the boulder took from the mountains to the stream.

About me:
I'm Scott Hotaling, an Assistant Professor at Utah State University in the Department of Watershed Sciences. My lab studies high mountain ecosystems and the impact climate change and loss of snow and ice is having on them. I created this YouTube channel to share our research and information about climate change in mountains.
