Copy AutoCAD pattern from another drawing and use it later
Hi everyone,
I am going to show you how to copy AutoCAD hatch pattern from drawing so that you can use it later.
1. Open the file with the hatch pattern you want
2. Download getpat.lsp program from
www.turvill.com/t2/free_stuff/getpat.lsp
and modify the program as described inside the modified getpat.lsp ( https://www.sendspace.com/file/r3pf5q )
or
you might encounted the following error
Select hatch: ; error: bad argument value: positive 0
Tips: you can also just use the modified getpat.lsp

4. Save the downloaded list anywhere
5. Type appload command inside AutoCAD to load the lisp program
6. run getpat command and select the pattern.
7. the new pat file is saved in the same location as opened drawing
8. copy the pat file to AutoCAD support folder (something like)
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD 2018\Support
9. Now you can use the pattern - it is at the end of pattern list
