The undead barely shuffle along without nearby victims, so Zealots are the core of their offensives: They provoke nearby Cursed toward battle, and hurl spears to provide ranged support.
The the medieval and Cursed forces are nearly identical cost-wise, so it was very pleasing to see both sides get decimated!
