Trophy winter
Greetings. We're heading out on a long-awaited hunt, which has unexpectedly turned into a trophy hunt despite the dead of winter. There's been a prolonged thaw, and an interesting, snag-filled section of the river has opened up. The clarity is normal, but the current seems to have strengthened. I check the first section and find a lot of nice crucian carp and perch. I don't shoot yet, waiting for a more interesting encounter. I move on to the second section, which is much more interesting. In addition to crucian carp and perch, I've started catching catfish. They vary in size, but they're not active, so I just shoot. I swim to the spot where I encountered a lot of catfish last year. And again, my head is almost touching a passing beauty. They're active, so I take a shot. A fight ensues, and I hand over our trophy to my friend on the shore. This is very convenient, as swimming with such a large carp is not at all comfortable. I continue diving, but not for long; the flashlight runs out of battery right at the most interesting spot. But the hunt was a success, and the results are pleasing. Enjoy!
