In This Video : Howdy Folks Here is a closeup look at how i make char-cloth for my fire building kits This large popcorn tin holds 2 pair of cut-up denim jeans 100% cotton cloth with some nylon thread and other unnatural components which off-gas during the charring process producing both smoke and a goop that runs down the outside edge of the cans lid When cool temps hit the goop it forms a glossy crust that is easily discarded if any happens to form on your char cloth Of Course i clean everything prior to bagging up the finished product #MountainMan1478
