Oath is the brand new board game by Leder Games, designed by Cole Wehrle, who designed Root and Pax Pamir! His games are a premium example of good game design, and I am so excited to try his newest one! 😊
And the Art!!! WOW! 🤩 Kyle Ferrin created so many unique pieces of art for this game, and I have to say, I think I love it even more than the art he did for Root! Each card is so full of charm, whimsy, and imagination, and I love each one of them!
One of the most exciting mechanics is the game's ability to remember. What that means is that the setup of each game takes different conditions from the previous game into account. It sounds like a wonderful and unique way to make each game feel impactful to the next without the restrictions that a legacy game would bring! We are super excited to try out and get a feel for what this looks like over many plays of the game. 🥳
