Basically both operations in the video work use the same method. There is a pump which pumps water out of a near by pond then a pressure spray mechanism to break down dirt. The sludge then gets picked up by a pump which runs it up a PVC pipe with sediment traps along the way. At the top of the piping course is a sluice to catch whatever gold is not caught in the sediment traps.
