El pasado mes de julio el corredor canario de ultra fondo Marcos Yánez viajó a Islandia con un objetivo: correr 120 km en solitario atravesando el país en apoyo a la lucha contra la leucemia y en recuerdo a la memoria de su padre que falleció de esa enfermedad. En el reto le acompañaron su novia Warkidea Vega, el documentalista Pedro Cubiles y el fotógrafo Marcos Cabrera. De esa hazaña, que va más allá de lo deportivo, nació el documental 'NO SOLO 18 HORAS', que no solo cuenta como fue la aventura sino el significado tan importante que tiene.
Last July canary long distance runner Marcos Yánez traveled to Iceland with one aim in his mind: run 120 km on his own to help fighting against leukemia and honor his father who died from this illness. His girlfriend Warkidea Vega, the documentary film maker Pedro Cubiles and the photographer Marcos Cabrera accompanied Marcos Yánez in his challenge. An achievement which goes beyond sport. The documentary 'MORE THAN JUST 18 HOURS' tells not only the adventure but also the meaning of solidarity.
