UEFI or The Unified Extensible Firmware Interface boot requires that you have preferred partition on your hard drive or SSD in GPT (GUID Partition Table) Partition Scheme. This being the latest and replacing the old and limited-featured MBR ( Master Boot Record), meets most of the performance requirements modern day computers demand. For example, the legacy MBR system supported partitions as large as 2.2TB while new GPT partitions can do up to 18 exabytes.
When you get this message " Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk is not of the GPT ", its because your PC booted in UEFI mode, but your hard drive or SSD is not configured in GPT. MBR disks should therefore, be converted into GPT and this small video showing you how you could do it DIY using Command Prompt DISKPART with just few clicks.
