HOW TO CREATE GEODES WITHOUT RESIN
How to Make a Geode Without Resin, Creating Beautiful Geodes. In this DIY tutorial, I demonstrate how to make a beautiful geode without using resin. Geodes are a beautiful form of artestry and will surely enhance any room in your home or office.
Supplies Needed:
Clean Canvas (Any Size !)
Desired Paint Color(s)
Glitters (Desired Color(s)
Clear Elmer’s Glue
Desired Glass: Crushed Glass/Faux Gems/Stones/Fireglass
Bowl to mix glitters and Glue; Stir Stick or Spoon
Squeeze Bottle/Plastic Baggie/Cake Piping Bag
Paint Pens or Very Thin “Pencil-like” Paint Brush
Glue Gun and CLEAR Glue Sticks
Any other desired Gems or Embellishments
High Gloss Varnish of some kind (Liquitex/Pebeo)
Possibly Clear Fingernail Polish….But “CAUTION”...some nail polish may
discolor your paint, so test a small portion of it on the “side” panel of
your canvas before using polish as a “finishing coat”.
Optional: Liquid Gold / Natural Crystal Quartz Stones
*Note: After you have laid down your lines with your glue/glitter mix, let it harden, before starting next steps. (at least 25-48 hours).
