Experiment in Photoshop elements as "puppets", and multi-layer masking and looping. I made the cigar smoke at the end by creating a frame by frame virtual green screen from footage of smoke from a candle being blown out from the opening shot and then distorting it to fit the area needed.
My youtube compression skills really kill the quality here - sorry.
