BREAKING NEWS: Properties Destroyed As Fuel-Laden Tanker Catches Fire In Apata, Ibadan
Properties worth millions of naira have been razed as a fuel-laden tanker lost a tyre, tumbled and caught fire late this evening at the Apata area of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Eyewitnesses claim the tanker rammed into shops opposite the NNPC Filling Station in the area before bursting into flames as a result of the tyre loss and accompanying road-scratch as it rolled over.
Shops and properties within the vicinity were completely razed down in the raging inferno in a matter of minutes. No life has been reported lost as of the time of filing this report.
Officials of the State Fire Service were sighted at the area in a desperate attempt to put out the fire.
