F-15s: The Ultimate Mach Loop Experience
In my latest video, I had the incredible opportunity to capture F-15s performing low-level maneuvers through the iconic Mach Loop in Wales. This area, known for its dramatic landscape and challenging terrain, is a popular training ground for military aircraft, especially for the RAF and the USAF. The F-15E Strike Eagles I filmed were flying mere hundreds of feet above the ground, showcasing their incredible agility and the skill of their pilots.
The Mach Loop, officially called Low Flying Area 7 (LFA7), is famous for allowing pilots to practice high-speed, low-altitude flights in a way that prepares them for combat and other critical missions. As I watched these jets navigate the valleys, it was clear just how demanding this training is-split-second reactions are essential as the pilots respond to the ever-changing terrain below.
