The Bena Kongo are the Israelites the Bible speaks of. All Bantu are part of the Kongo people. Together, we are the elect people, the original people. Hebrewism was the ancient tradition and culture of Bantu before the arrival of Arabic Muslims and European Christians in Central, east, west, and South Africa. Bantu were NEVER pagans. Our ancestors always believed in the Supreme being, Nzambi Ampungu Tulendo, Yambe, Nyambe, Nkunkulu, Ngai, Modimo, etc. Our Bantu theology is a hierarchical monotheism; we recognize the existence of the Supreme being and lesser deities subordinate to his Rule.
