UPDATE: DO NOT BUY HUION! I REPEAT, DO NOT BUY HUION!
After having used the pen display for only three days, it shows now a black screen.
I have done all the necessary checks (graphic display drivers, cables, etc), the display shows up in the device manager as well as in display settings, and the desktop extends into it, but it's just a black screen. I'm sending back for a refund.
Conclusion: DON'T BUY HUION PEN DISPLAYS!
Having a screen I can draw on has been in my bucket list for over a decade!
Why until now? Well, I don't make a living as an illustrator, and a household of four kids plus everything else means, you don't spend on things you can go on without. And when it comes to the odd illustration job I get, I normally solve it by just drawing on paper first and if necessary finishing up in Photoshop WITH MY TRUSTY MOUSE after scanning it.
Why did I finally get it? To be honest, it was a gift from my beautiful wife. From time to time, she's the one that decides for me and gets me something from my wishlist (sometimes it's a camera or something else).
But now that I have it... man! What I've been missing!
I'll keep uploading updates to this illustration, and anything else I work on.
Hopefully, I can share any tips from what I learn over time about working directly on a screen.
Feel free to ask any questions on technique, and on this screen model.
Sadly I have no comparison wisdom since it's my first of this type of screens.
