How to Get Stunning Backlighting Portraits Photoshoot: (2)-Godox AD200 + AD-B2!
In this video, I’m excited to show you how to achieve stunning backlighting in portrait photography using two Godox AD200 flashes paired with the AD-B2 bracket! We took on the challenge of shooting at 11am in full sunlight, on top of a hillside with no shade, giving us the perfect setup to demonstrate the beauty and power of backlighting. I’ll walk you through my setup with the Nikon Z8 and the Sigma 50mm f/1.2 DG DN Art, showing how to capture bright, detailed, and well-lit portraits in challenging lighting conditions.
The AD200s provided just the right amount of fill to balance the strong sun behind our subject, creating dreamy halo effects and brilliant rim lighting. I’ll explain my camera settings, positioning, and flash adjustments to help you get the most out of high-noon lighting. If you’re looking to make your portraits pop in natural light with the help of portable flashes, this setup is a game-changer!
